Brown United Structures for Red Bull Flugtag 2011 in Tampa, FL

On October 8th the outrageous human-powered flying competition known as Red Bull Flugtag will once again soar over the West Coast…of Florida with a return to Tampa Bay.

Brown United is a provider of sporting event structures for Flugtag including Platforms, Scaffolding, Seating and more.

WHAT IS FLUGTAG?

Flugtag, which means "flying day" in German, is a contest that dares the brave and the brainy to design, build and pilot their homemade flying machines off a 22-foot high ramp and soar high above the city's bay, ocean or river -- or, as is more often the case, plunge into the waters below.

Brown United Diving Platform for Red Bull Cliff Diving in Boston

The sixth stop of the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series 2011 was in Boston Harbour at Fan Pier on August 20th. Rather than natural cliffs, the divers will use the Brown United cantilever roof of the Institute of Contemporary Art building on Fan Pier Boston as their diving platform which soars 80 feet above the water’s edge. It will be the Series’ first-ever East Coast stop in the United States. Check out the video highlights below.
