And we are pleased to announce that Tignes was chosen to host this key event in freestyle ski and snowboard, and the award-winning Brown United will be building temporary structures for this event, including control towers, lighting towers, stage flooring, and scaffold towers. For 3 days, from March 10th to 12th 2010, the best riders will gather from all around the world to compete against each other on Tignes’ snow for exceptional competitions. Snowboarding was introduced to the at the 1998 Nagano Olympics with halfpipe and individual giant slalom being the inaugural competitions. At the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympics, Parallel giant slalom replaced the Individual slalom and snowboard cross was introduced at the 2006 Torino Olympics. In the short history of Olympic snowboarding, the United States leads all nations with 14 medals, Switzerland is second with eight and France has five.
BROWN UNITED is a Finalist for Rental Company of the Year!
LOS ANGELES, CA - Event Solutions magazine, Conference and Tradeshow recently announced that local company, Brown United, has been named as a finalist in the 2010 Spotlight Awards in the category of Rental Company of the Year!
Brown United specializes in creating temporary event structures for a variety of high profile events.
The 139 finalists were selected from a field of more than 600 nominations based on their entry profile which speaks to their body of work. The finalists represent some of the top event professionals not just in the United States, but internationally. The prestigious Spotlight Awards, the event industry’s most comprehensive awards program began in 1998 and has grown to include 20 categories.
Finalists were published in the December issue of Event Solutions magazine and appear on the voting site: event-solutions.com until January 31, 2010.
Recipients of the award will be presented the awards statue on March 8, 2010 in Las Vegas, as the signature event of the Event Solutions Conference and Tradeshow.
